Team formation and Fees
Savage Baseball will work with managers on the formation of the the team. Rosters will have 12-15 players. High School rosters often have increased roster compared to the younger divisions. We know that many players are also playing summer ball and often participate in other sports. Teams using a smaller roster are encouraged to have part-time subs. Once teams have been formed, Savage Baseball will hold an organizational meeting for families and players.
Savage Baseball provides competitive baseball at a fraction of the cost. Savage Baseball promotes the use of parent volunteers to manage the team. Managers determine roster size, hold team tryouts, identify coaching staff, coordinate tournament schedule, and coach all team games.
Managers and the coaching staff will work with the families to determine the tournament schedule. Teams will typically participate in 5-8 tournaments. Managers and coaching staff may choose to enter teams in out of town/state tournaments. Tournaments typically occur during June and July. Players are not permitted to participate in travel events during the spring baseball season. Those playing summer high school baseball CAN participate in travel tournaments.
Player Savage fees are used to pay for:
· Player Winter Training
· Coach Training
· Team Insurance
· Player Uniform
· Tournament Fees
Final Savage fees will vary depending on roster size, level of coach/player training, and final jersey selection. A team with a roster of 14, 9 weeks of training, and basic jersey, and 7 typical tournaments would equal approximately $1150 per player. Teams with a smaller roster or entering numerous/high tournament may have slightly higher fees.
