Illinois savage baseball organization provides

  • NO DADDY BALL! “Daddy Ball” - When a dad/parent run team, has the coach or all of the coaches’ kids playing a position or batting in a spot they desire for their own child without consideration of the development of others; usually taking the win at all cost attitudes.

    ALSO

When there are 4-8 coaches, on the bench, all yelling different agendas on where the ball should go on each play and while also yelling different mechanics to each player, can be confusing and stressful.

Baseball is a negative and difficult game to play! At Savage, our team mangers and coaching staff take pride in finding the positive moments to build from, while also using the not-so-great moments to learn from. Each player is different and there is no cookie cutter mold that works on every player. Quite simply, a connection needs to be made with each player and motivating each player for success is different. Players will make physical and mental mistakes, and it is our job, at Savage Baseball, to correct them and help them learn without beating them down mentally. Great coaching encompasses the ability to bring the best out of each player while keeping a humble balance of trying to win. At Savage Baseball, we give each player avenues to develop and succeed through opportunities. Who knows what these players will become as the get older! Physical growth takes places over time, but mental growth can happen in seconds!
